Follow the directions here: Install Office 2008 on Lion

Run these ii steps first.

i) If you installed Panthera leo over your previous install, download and run the Lion combo over your install.
2) After running combo, in Applications/Utilities open Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions.

MORE INFO ON WHY RUNNING COMBO FIXES ISSUES

Apple updates available from the Software Update application are incremental updates. Delta updates are also incremental updates and are bachelor from Apple Downloads (software updates are generally smaller than delta updates). The Philharmonic updates comprise all incremental updates and will update files that could accept become corrupted.

Combo updaters will install on the same version as they're applying--no need to ringlet back or do a make clean install. Then if you think you've got a borked 10.6.6 install from a regular update, only run the ten.6.6 Combo Updater on that system.

"Delta" updaters can only take you from one version to the next. For example: ten.seven.2 to 10.seven.3. If somehow the 10.7.2 is missing something it should have, and that something isn't changed between x.vii.2 and 10.7.three it will still be stale afterwards the delta update.

I just purchased my Macbook Pro and Panthera leo was already installed on at that place. Will information technology all the same be the same...do I outset with running the King of beasts Combo? I am new to the mac earth...I wish there was an easy way..

Running the philharmonic never hurts simply if Lion was installed on your calculator you lot might not need to run over your install. Of course, yous never know what has happened since you got your new figurer. :-)

Y'all should exist able to install using the instructions Install on this mail service. Office 2008 on Panthera leo
